We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEND Teacher to join our specialist team in MK8, supporting primary-aged pupils with autism and communication needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children by providing engaging, personalised learning experiences within a nurturing and supportive environment.
The Role
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs.
- Support primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech, language and communication needs.
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, adapting provision as required.
- Foster pupils' social, emotional and communication skills alongside academic development.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience working with children with autism and/or communication difficulties.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of SEND practices and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Is patient, resilient and committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience within a specialist SEND setting is desirable but not essential.
