We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Teacher to join welcoming and supportive secondary schools in the Bedford and Milton Keynes area from the new academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about preparing students for careers and further education within the health and social care sector.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS or PGCE ideally preferred
  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care within secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for supporting student progress and achievement
  • Ability to commit to a full-time role from the new academic year
  • Ability to travel to Bedford and/or Milton Keynes

Applications are also welcomed from highly experienced unqualified teachers with a strong background teaching in secondary schools.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons across KS3, KS4, and/or KS5
  • Prepare students for coursework, assessments, and examinations
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leadership teams
  • Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives where required
