SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary and post-16 provision in Blackley from September 2026.

Responsibilities
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff, you\'ll help create positive learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Encouraging student engagement, participation, and achievement within lessons.
- Supporting communication, emotional development, and independence.
- Helping students manage their emotions through positive behaviour strategies.
- Assisting with personal care when required.
- Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and enrichment activities.
- Adapting support strategies to meet a variety of learning and behavioural needs.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
This is a highly varied role that requires flexibility, patience, and the ability to build strong relationships with young people.
