Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience, paid weekly)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant with a background or strong interest in sports to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with autism in a primary school in Middlesbrough. This role will involve providing tailored support to help the pupil engage with learning, regulate emotions, and develop social and communication skills.

The school are looking for someone who can use sport and physical activity as a positive engagement tool, supporting both learning and wellbeing throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and confident in adapting activities to meet individual needs. Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism, is highly desirable.

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be beneficial, but relevant experience and the right attitude are essential. This is a long-term opportunity, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person. Commitment, consistency, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs are key.
