Secondary Maths Tutor – Northamptonshire area
Do you have a passion for numbers and a knack for explaining concepts in a clear, engaging way? We’re looking for a committed Maths Tutor to support secondary-aged students in the Northamptonshire area, helping them gain confidence and achieve their academic goals.
Working closely with students on a one-to-one basis (or in small groups), you’ll deliver focused tuition sessions that are tailored to individual learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a real difference, especially for pupils who may need extra encouragement or are learning outside of mainstream education. Hours vary for each pupil\’s referral as well as the location of where the tuition will be taking place.
About the Role:
- Delivering structured and engaging Maths tuition to KS3 and/or GCSE students
- Identifying gaps in knowledge and tailoring sessions to support progress
- Adapting your teaching approach to suit each learner’s pace and style
- Building positive relationships to boost confidence and motivation
- Using a variety of strategies to maintain focus and encourage active learning
- Keeping track of progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong tutoring/teaching experience in secondary Maths
- Solid understanding of the Maths curriculum at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level
- Experience working with young people, including those with SEND, SEMH or additional needs
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply – we can assist)
- Two recent references covering a minimum of 24 months in your career
