We are looking for dedicated and passionate Maths Tutors to work with pupils outside the traditional school setting, across South Tyneside. You will provide one-on-one tuition in the home or a local community hub to help students improve their maths skills, gain confidence, and reach their academic goals.

Tutor Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored maths sessions to pupils based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement, using our bespoke cloud-based tracking programme.
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a growth mindset and self-confidence in their abilities.
  • Support students in exam preparation, homework help, and improving their overall maths skills.

Essential Tutor Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the maths National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 or 4.
  • Previous experience tutoring maths to students outside of the school system or those with additional needs.
  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Qualified Teacher Status in maths or the equivalent tutoring experience.
