About the Role:
A high-performing secondary school in Manchester is seeking a skilled Maths Intervention Tutor to provide targeted support to pupils who are working below age-related expectations in Maths. This role is ideal for recent Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators looking for a flexible teaching opportunity focused on pupil progress rather than classroom management.
Main Duties:

Plan and deliver bespoke Maths sessions to small groups of KS3 and KS4 students

Work alongside class teachers to identify learning gaps and monitor pupil progress

Use data to inform intervention planning and adapt teaching styles as needed

Provide structured exam preparation for Year 11 pupils

Help build student confidence in numeracy and problem-solving skills
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Degree in Mathematics or related subject

Previous experience tutoring or teaching secondary students

Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum for Maths (KS3 & KS4)

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students

QTS is desirable but not essential
