About Us

Our new specialist school is set to open in late 2026 (TBC), providing a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious environment for children and young people aged 5–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With capacity for 72 students, we are committed to creating a safe, enriching and aspirational setting where every learner can thrive.

The Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled classroom teachers (primary and/or secondary) who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. The Role

As a Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every pupil is supported to succeed. You will plan engaging lessons, set personalised targets, and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to parents, carers and senior leaders
  • Leading a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues
  • Managing and supervising support staff within the classroom
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies

About You

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching a thematic curriculum in primary and/or secondary settings
  • Experience working in specialist settings, particularly with pupils with SEMH and SEND
  • Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum for diverse learners
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Understanding of ASC and SEMH needs, including complex presentations

Desirable:

  • Additional qualifications in SEND
  • Experience in curriculum development for learners with SEND
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a nurturing and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
