About the Role
As a HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning - delivering interventions, covering lessons, and helping to raise attainment across Key Stage 1 and 2. You'll work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence
- Lead small group interventions across core subjects
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and EAL
- Contribute to planning and assessment alongside teachers
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Confident leading whole-class learning when required
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and passion for education
