We are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Mansfield who are seeking Cover Supervisors, supporting the school when needed.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. Work will be set in advance, and your role will be to maintain a positive learning environment, ensure students stay on task, and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and activities
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
- Providing feedback to teaching staff as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A calm, confident, and professional approach
- Flexibility and reliability
- An understanding of, or willingness to work within, a Catholic school ethos
- Has a DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply
