Cover Supervisor
Location: NG19, Mansfield
Pay: £100 - £140 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, term time only
Start Date: September/October 2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
A secondary school in the NG19 area is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to support the team from September onwards. This role would suit someone with experience working with young people in a school, tutoring, coaching or youth work setting. It may also suit graduates considering teacher training in the future.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set lesson work to classes across KS3 and KS4
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
- Support pupils to stay focused and complete assigned tasks
- Record attendance and report any issues to teaching staff
- Provide feedback following lessons where required
- Maintain a calm and professional classroom environment
Requirements
- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
- Good communication and classroom management skills
- A calm and reliable approach
- GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
