The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage assessments while maintaining a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Create an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and motivated to succeed
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to maximise pupil outcomes
  • Participate in school initiatives, meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, with Year 6 experience highly desirable
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment expectations
  • Be able to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be confident in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
