Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a range of SEN and SEMH schools, alternative provisions and inclusive mainstream settings to recruit Qualified Teachers and Graduate Teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils may present with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, trauma-related behaviours, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties and moderate learning difficulties. Many pupils have EHCPs and benefit from small class sizes, high staff-to-pupil ratios and structured, nurturing environments.

This role is suitable for fully qualified teachers (QTS) as well as graduates seeking school-based teaching experience with the intention of progressing into teacher training or SEND specialism. Comprehensive support, mentoring and training are available.

About the Role

  • Deliver adapted and engaging lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs
  • Support pupils' academic progress, emotional wellbeing and behaviour
  • Create a safe, calm and structured learning environment
  • Implement EHCP targets, individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, pastoral teams, therapists and external professionals
  • Build consistent, trusting relationships to support engagement and attendance
  • Graduate teachers will receive mentoring, modelling and support to develop their classroom practice and understanding of SEND/SEMH.

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teachers with QTS, or graduates seeking school-based teaching experience
  • An interest in supporting pupils with additional and complex needs
  • A patient, resilient and reflective approach to teaching
  • Willingness to learn and engage in SEND/SEMH training
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous SEND/SEMH experience is desirable but not essential.
