We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ academic progress and confidence as they prepare for their SATs.
As an Intervention Assistant, you will:
- Deliver targeted support sessions to pupils in Year 6, focusing on English and Maths to ensure they are fully prepared for KS2 SATs.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils who are working below age‑related expectations, helping them close gaps in learning.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of each child, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO where necessary.
- Support pupils’ confidence and resilience, encouraging a positive attitude towards learning and assessments.
Minimum 12 months experience working within a primary school setting, following the National Curriculum.
Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
Ability to deliver structured interventions and differentiate learning for pupils of varying abilities.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting pupil progress.
