Location: Manchester

We are currently recruiting caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants, Primary Teachers, and Support Staff to join a welcoming specialist education setting in Manchester. This role involves supporting young children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to develop confidence, communication, independence, and key life skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

The school provides a highly supportive setting for pupils with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and sensory needs. Staff work closely together to create engaging, structured learning experiences that enable every child to reach their full potential.

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for children with SEND.
  • Assist pupils with learning activities, communication, and social development.
  • Support children with personal care where required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour using consistent and nurturing strategies.
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals to meet individual learning needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school team.

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Experience in SEND, childcare, early years, care, youth work, or support work.
  • A patient, compassionate, and passionate approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • A collaborative and supportive team spirit.
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people, ideally within an SEN or education setting.
  • A caring, positive, and flexible approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
