We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 (TA2) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Firswood, M16 from September 2026.

Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team, you will provide high-quality support to pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Support pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND where required.
  • Help to promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
  • Contribute to assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Qualifications

  • A TA2 qualification or relevant Teaching Assistant experience.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
