The Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual support plans
- Supporting engagement in lessons and encouraging participation
- Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, or strong transferable experience (e.g. care, youth work, coaching, mentoring)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Willingness to learn and engage in further training
