Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorlton that is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September. This is a full-time role, working 8:30am to 3:30pm, providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through both individual and small-group interventions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and motivated individual who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide personalised 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Deliver focused small-group interventions to support learning and development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt and deliver differentiated learning activities.
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, the SENCO, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual learning needs.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
  • A caring, adaptable, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A Level 2 Safeguarding qualification, or willingness to complete relevant training.
