We are working with a welcoming and supportive SEN school in the Maidenhead area that caters to students with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to lead a small class within a specialist setting. You will deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to meet individual learning needs, supported daily by experienced teaching assistants. Students may present with:
- Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- Behavioural or communication needs
- Additional learning or physical needs
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of individual needs
- Monitor, assess and track student progress
- Set clear, realistic learning goals
- Foster a calm, consistent and supportive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff, parents and external professionals
Qualifications
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working within an SEN or specialist setting (preferred)
- Confident behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply
