Teaching Personnel is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils within an Early Years specialist setting. This role is based at the Farley Hill Early Years site, supporting children aged 3‑8 years with a wide range of additional needs, including severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider team to provide high‑quality support that promotes each child's learning, communication, wellbeing, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils' learning, communication, and engagement in line with personalised plans.
- Assist with behaviour support using positive, consistent strategies.
- Help prepare learning environments, resources, and activities tailored to Early Years development.
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support, adapting approaches to meet varied needs.
- Contribute to pupil observations, progress notes, and assessment information.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to deliver a holistic, child‑centred approach.
- Encourage play‑based learning, sensory exploration, and early developmental skills.
