Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive comprehensive secondary school in Chatham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys inspiring students and helping them develop both their practical and theoretical knowledge of Food Technology. The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of the Food Technology curriculum
- Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting students to develop their practical skills, creativity and confidence
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Design Technology department
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experienced teaching Food Technology at secondary level
- In date health and safety certificate for food
- Confident teaching practical lessons and managing a specialist classroom environment
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Organised, reliable and enthusiastic
- Committed to supporting students of all abilities
- ECTs with relevant Food Technology teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.
