Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive comprehensive secondary school in Chatham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys inspiring students and helping them develop both their practical and theoretical knowledge of Food Technology. The Role

  • Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of the Food Technology curriculum
  • Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting students to develop their practical skills, creativity and confidence
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Design Technology department
  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experienced teaching Food Technology at secondary level
  • In date health and safety certificate for food
  • Confident teaching practical lessons and managing a specialist classroom environment
  • Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Organised, reliable and enthusiastic
  • Committed to supporting students of all abilities
  • ECTs with relevant Food Technology teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.
