We are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across South West London who are seeking enthusiastic and committed PE Teachers / Sports Coaches to support their PE departments. These opportunities are suitable only for candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), as the roles involve teaching PE lessons as the class teacher.
Role Details
- Position: PE Teacher / Sports Coach (QTS Required)
- Location: South West London (including Wandsworth, Merton, Lambeth, Kingston and surrounding boroughs)
- Working Pattern: Flexible – day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles available
- Start Date: ASAP
- Type: Full-time and part-time opportunities
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons
- Teaching PE across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 advantageous but not essential)
- Managing classroom and practical behaviour in line with school policies
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback where required
- Promoting participation, teamwork and physical wellbeing
- Supporting extracurricular sports activities where appropriate
- Upholding safeguarding, health & safety and school-wide expectations
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- PE specialism or strong experience teaching Physical Education
- Confident behaviour management in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexible, professional and reliable approach
- Ability to travel to secondary schools across South West London
