Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people across East London? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a wide range of mainstream schools, specialist provisions, SEND schools and alternative settings across Tower Hamlets, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Hackney and Havering. We are seeking enthusiastic professionals to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream schools and Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs).
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Support children with Autism, Speech and Language Needs, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum both within the mainstream classroom and ARP setting.
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
- Promote communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and families to support pupil progress.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs or other additional learning needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
