Recruiting via Teaching Personnel. Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming nursery school in Tooting to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support Early Years pupils with additional needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs in an Early Years or nursery setting.

About the Role

  • Supporting nursery-aged children (Early Years) with SEN, including ASD, speech & language needs, and developmental delays
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Supporting play-based learning and early development milestones
  • Assisting with behaviour regulation and emotional support
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and nursery staff
  • Supporting EHCP targets and early intervention strategies
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting SEN children within an Early Years or nursery setting – ESSENTIAL
  • Strong understanding of child development in Early Years
  • Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to work closely with parents and multidisciplinary teams
