We are working closely with a number of secondary schools across South West London who are looking to appoint reliable and confident General Cover Teachers to provide classroom supervision and support across a range of subjects. This role is ideal for qualified teachers, ECTs, or experienced cover staff seeking flexible work or longer-term opportunities within secondary education.
Role Details
- Position: General Cover Teacher (Secondary)
- Location: South West London (including Wandsworth, Merton, Lambeth, Kingston and surrounding areas)
- Working Pattern: Flexible – day-to-day, short-term and long-term cover available
- Start Date: ASAP
- Type: Full-time or part-time options available
Responsibilities
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
- Supporting students across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
- Taking attendance and following safeguarding procedures
- Providing feedback to departments where required
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working in a secondary school setting
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECTs or experienced cover supervisors welcomed
- Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
- Confident engaging with students across KS3–KS4
- Professional, reliable and adaptable
- Ability to commute to schools across South West London
