Location: Carmarthenshire

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Pay: £14.25 per hour

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support schools across the Carmarthenshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding educational environment, supporting pupils in their learning and development.

You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide classroom support, assist with activities, and help ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) where required
  • Encouraging student engagement and positive behaviour
  • Helping create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment

Requirements

Essential:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning)
  • A valid UK driving licence (not essential, but advantageous)
