Are you passionate about supporting young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey? We're recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants across South West Wales to work in Secondary Schools and Specialist SEN Settings!

The Role

  • Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
  • Pay: £14.25 per hour
  • Days: Monday to Friday - NO weekends!
  • Locations: Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion

As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges. You will play a vital role in helping students access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

What We're Looking For

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching & Learning, Health & Social Care, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting children or young people with ALN, SEN, behavioural needs, or disabilities (desirable but not essential)
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting learners
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
  • Registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) or willing to register
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to some school locations but not essential
