About the Role
As a Speech and Language Specialist TA, you will:
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions for pupils with SLCN.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external Speech & Language Therapists.
- Support and model communication strategies across the classroom.
- Help adapt learning activities to meet individual communication needs.
- Monitor, record, and feedback on pupil progress.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting pupils with speech, language, or communication needs.
- Understands or has exposure to strategies such as Makaton, PECs, or colourful semantics (desirable).
- Is patient, supportive, and passionate about helping children thrive.
- Can work collaboratively within a busy school team.
- Holds relevant TA qualifications (or has strong practical experience).
