SEMH Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged pupils within a specialist educational setting.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 11-16 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will provide tailored support both within the classroom and on a one-to-one basis, helping students engage with learning, develop positive relationships, and reach their full potential.
Previous experience working within an SEMH educational setting is essential.
- Experience supporting secondary-aged students.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Enhanced
DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
