Teaching Personnel Liverpool is recruiting passionate, dedicated and skilled English Teachers to support our partner secondary schools across Liverpool. We are currently seeing an increase in demand for specialist English teachers, with a variety of long‑term, full‑year and permanent opportunities available, starting immediately and from September 2026.

We are currently recruiting English Teachers to deliver high-quality lessons across:
- Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English Literature, Language, and Creative Writing
- GCSE exam preparation (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
Roles available include:
- Full‑time classroom teaching
- Long‑term cover with potential for permanent contracts
- Permanent roles secured directly via school interviews
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Teach both English Language and Literature effectively
- Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Support students in developing literacy, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Contribute to the wider school community, including behaviour and pastoral support
- Work collaboratively with departments and senior leadership teams
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with SEND or additional needs where required
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) – essential
- Experience teaching English
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Passion for teaching English and raising pupil attainment
- Confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Experience in SEN or challenging behaviour settings is beneficial but not required
