Available Opportunities

• Cover Supervisor

  Gain first-hand classroom experience by leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher, using pre-prepared learning resources.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Ensure students remain focused and on task throughout lessons
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
  • Support the wider school community and contribute to a positive learning environment

  Ideal for: Graduates considering a career in teaching who want to develop confidence, classroom management skills, and a deeper understanding of school life.

• Teaching Assistant (SEN, SEMH & Alternative Provision)

  Support students with a range of additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

  You may work with pupils with:

  • SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
  • ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
  • ADHD
  • Behavioural and communication needs

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assist students with academic, social, and emotional development
  • Help implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans
  • Support teachers in creating engaging and accessible learning experiences
  • Promote confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive environment

• Future Teachers – SKiP Programme

  A Structured, School-Based Route into Teaching

  For graduates who aspire to become qualified teachers, our SKiP Programme offers a supported pathway into the profession.

  Year 1: Cover Supervisor Placement

  • Gain valuable classroom experience
  • Deliver lessons across your specialist subject area
  • Support intervention programmes and wider school activities
  • Develop behaviour management and teaching skills
  • Receive ongoing mentoring and professional development

  Year 2: Teacher Training (SKiP)

  • Train within your chosen subject specialism
  • Teach a reduced timetable while developing your practice
  • Receive regular observations, mentoring, and structured feedback
  • Work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and, where applicable, a PGCE

  This pathway provides an excellent route into a long-term teaching career while gaining valuable practical experience from day one.
