A reputable, Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in North Liverpool is seeking a fully qualified Design and Technology Teacher to join its established and well-resourced D&T department. This role is offered on a temporary basis initially, with a clear opportunity to progress to a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a specific focus on Engineering and Woodwork. The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain high standards within the department and inspire pupils through engaging and practical learning.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver creative, engaging and well-structured D&T lessons to KS3 and KS4
- Teach Engineering and Woodwork confidently across the curriculum
- Plan, prepare and assess work in line with national curriculum requirements
- Maintain a safe, organised and compliant workshop environment
- Support the progress and development of students of varying abilities
- Contribute to departmental improvement and wider school initiatives
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Strong Engineering experience
- Proven Woodshop/Resistant Materials background
