Job Overview

Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a supportive and well-regarded primary school? We are recruiting for a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a lovely Year 4 pupil in Everton (L3). This is a temporary position covering a staff absence and will run until the end of the academic year. The school is highly praised by staff, parents, and pupils, and is particularly valued for its strong SENCO and Headteacher.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Support: Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, focusing on academic, social, and developmental progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents, and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans and effective support strategies.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and adapting learning materials to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
  • Classroom Support: Help maintain an inclusive, organised, and positive classroom environment, supporting the wider class where needed.
  • Behaviour Support: Use appropriate behaviour management approaches to promote positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
