Start Date: Summer term (April 2026)

Contract: Full-time – maternity cover with a possibility of extension

Pay: Competitive daily rate (£130–£235/day inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)

Role Overview

  • Lead a Year 1 class, planning and delivering inclusive lessons aligned with the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess progress, ensuring all pupils work towards key stage targets.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere using effective behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, senior leadership, and parents.
  • Maintain accurate pupil records per school policy.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS1 – Year 1 experience preferred
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Effective communication with pupils, parents, and staff
