Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work at one of our partner schools near Stamford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a genuine difference within an SEMH environment.
This role will involve working across a range of year groups, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and additional Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will be confident in managing challenging behaviour and able to build positive, supportive relationships with students who may require additional guidance and structure throughout the school day.
The role will include:
- Supporting students across multiple year groups with SEMH and SEN needs
- Delivering interventions and classroom support tailored to individual pupils
- Managing and responding effectively to challenging behaviours
- Working closely with teaching staff and wider support teams
- Encouraging engagement, emotional regulation and positive outcomes for pupils
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a HLTA or within a similar education support role
- Strong experience supporting pupils with SEMH and additional SEN needs
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, resilient and proactive approach
