You’ll work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs
  • Moderate, Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties
  • Complex and Medical Needs

Your responsibilities may include

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support.
  • Encouraging communication, independence and social development.
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
  • Celebrating every success—big or small.

Ideally, you’ll have

  • Experience supporting children or vulnerable adults (education, care, residential or healthcare settings).
  • A positive, adaptable and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
