Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist provision in the Leyland area to recruit a dedicated SEMH Teacher for adhoc work. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who is confident supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and is interested in working on an agency basis. The setting supports children and young people who require a nurturing, structured environment and a trauma-informed approach to learning.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Managing behaviour positively and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Working closely with support staff, senior leaders and external professionals to ensure each pupil can access education and make progress.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with SEMH, SEND or pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A calm, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
