We are looking for a motivated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly mainstream primary school in Leyland from September 2026. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for someone committed to early years education and looking for long-term progression.
In this EYFS Teaching Assistant role, you will support children’s early learning experiences and work alongside experienced staff to provide a high standard of education and care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons
- Support children’s early development and learning milestones
- Provide one-to-one and group support where required
- Ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification (essential)
- Previous EYFS or primary school experience
- Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
This Leyland EYFS Teaching Assistant position offers an excellent opportunity to transition into a permanent role within a supportive school environment. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
