Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a highly regarded specialist primary school in Preston on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This nurturing and inclusive setting supports pupils aged 2–11 with a range of complex special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and additional sensory and physical needs. The school is committed to celebrating every child's achievements, promoting independence, and creating meaningful learning experiences tailored to individual needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to help pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets. You will provide both classroom and individual support, adapting activities to meet a range of learning, communication, sensory, and personal care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with complex SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis
