Are you a resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a new role this September? Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH setting in East Grinstead. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who need additional support to thrive in education.

Set in a unique and inspiring environment, the school provides a calm and structured setting where pupils can re‑engage with learning. With a strong focus on personalised support and emotional wellbeing, pupils are encouraged to rebuild confidence and develop both academically and socially.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils throughout their school day; both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll help deliver engaging learning activities while promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and self‑belief. A big part of this role is about building trust. Many pupils have faced challenges in their education and personal lives, so your ability to form strong, consistent relationships will be key in helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

There is a strong sense of teamwork across the school, with staff supporting each other to create the best outcomes for pupils. While the role can be challenging at times, it is incredibly rewarding for someone who is patient, resilient, and driven to make a positive impact.

In return, we offer:

  • Competitive pay (based on experience)
  • Full-time, permanent opportunities
  • Ongoing training and development
  • A supportive team environment
  • A truly rewarding role where you can make a difference
