Are you someone who thrives on making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have experience supporting pupils with additional needs and a passion for helping them reach their full potential? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are working with a friendly and inclusive school in Portsmouth that is looking for a new Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for both primary and secondary aged pupils, and they will work closely with you to find the right class group and environment to suit your experience and strengths.

Every day in this school is different. You will be supporting children with a range of needs including ASC, ADHD and SEMH, helping them to build confidence, develop life skills and access learning in a way that works best for them. The curriculum is hands on and creative, with a big emphasis on sensory activities, outdoor learning and real world skills.

The team is incredibly supportive and values the wellbeing of its staff just as much as that of its pupils. You will receive ongoing guidance and professional development, and there is a genuine sense of collaboration and care across the school.

This is a full time role, but the school understands the importance of flexibility and can consider four days per week for the right person. You will start your journey through Teaching Personnel for an initial probationary period, and then have the opportunity to move onto the school's own contract.

If you are patient, compassionate and committed to inclusive education, and you have prior experience supporting children with additional needs, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Apply today and take the next step in your career supporting young people to learn, grow and thrive.
