Teaching Assistant Opportunities - Lancaster & Wyre

Start After October Half Term | Long-Term & Short-Term Roles | Full-Time & Part-Time

Looking for a rewarding role in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, and Classroom Support Staff to work in primary schools across Lancaster and Wyre. These are primarily long-term positions alongside some short-term positions, offering consistent work and the opportunity to become a valued member of a school team. Roles are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs, and additional learning needs.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers with classroom learning
  • Supporting children with SEN and additional needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Helping children achieve their academic and personal goals

We Are Looking For

  • Experience working with children is preferred
  • Passion for education and supporting young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient, caring and adaptable individuals
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Experience may come from schools, nurseries, childcare, tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, care settings, mentoring, or similar child-focused roles.
