Are you a caring and enthusiastic Early Years professional looking to make a real difference? We are working with some welcoming primary schools in LA1 seeking a dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistants to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners at a key stage of their development within a nurturing and inclusive Early Years environment. The school offers a warm, community feel where staff are supportive and genuinely enjoy working together. The EYFS setting is bright, engaging and play-focused, encouraging children to learn through exploration and creativity. It’s a rewarding environment to work in, where you’ll build strong relationships with pupils and see first-hand the impact of your support—those small everyday successes really do make the role special.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children within EYFS, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Helping to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment
- Encouraging children’s development, independence and confidence
Qualifications
- Have experience working with children in EYFS
- Have a passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Be patient, nurturing and proactive
- Work well as part of a team
- A Level 3 Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
