Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 3:15pm

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our lovely school community near Garstang .

This is a full-time role , working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm , starting 23rd February 2026 , for a fixed term of 12 months , with the view to transferring onto a school contract .

About the Role

This is an academic support role , where the successful candidate will:

  • Act as the main Teaching Assistant within a KS1 classroom

  • Provide high-quality classroom support to enhance teaching and learning

  • Support pupils both individually and in small groups

  • Help create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to support pupil progress

  • Has experience working with children in KS1 (school-based experience desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
