Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Halewood from January 2026. The Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality assistance both inside and outside the classroom. Your role will be key in helping pupils access learning opportunities and build confidence in their abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives
- Providing targeted intervention support where required
- Encouraging pupil participation, independence, and positive behaviour
- Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities
- Supporting children with a range of learning needs to ensure an inclusive educational experience
- Helping to maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's development. The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting (KS1 experience is desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive and productive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A caring, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or a willingness to undertake additional training
