Teaching Personnel are recruiting experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kirkby from September 2026. We are considering candidates for a number of support roles across the school and are looking for individuals who can make an immediate positive impact on pupils with additional needs.

The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Support small groups of children requiring additional intervention.
- Assist pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, and other learning barriers.
- Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
- Encourage the social, emotional and academic development of pupils.
- Create a positive, engaging and safe learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Have previous experience supporting children with SEN.
- Have worked within a primary school, specialist provision, or children's care setting.
- Are confident managing varying needs and behaviours.
- Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Are patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children's development.
- Can adapt quickly and make a positive impact from day one.
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
