Teaching Personnel are proud to be working exclusively with a small, welcoming primary school in CA17, who have approached us directly to support them in appointing two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for the remainder of the academic year. These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils who require additional support.

  • Full-time role (Monday–Friday)
  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1 with additional needs
  • You will play a key role in supporting early learning development, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil can access the curriculum and thrive within the classroom environment.
  • Part-time hours (flexible, to be confirmed)
  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 6
  • This role focuses on supporting a pupil in upper key stage 2, helping to build confidence, engagement, and academic progress as they approach transition into secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEN
  • Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning needs
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

  • Have experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or school setting
  • Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive and able to use their initiative
