This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with complex needs in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting—ideal for someone who thrives on making a difference.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils' learning, behaviour, and emotional development
  • Planning and delivering tailored activities for individuals or small groups
  • Using effective behaviour regulation strategies, aligned with school policies
  • Monitoring and reporting progress and achievements
  • Building trusting, professional relationships with young people and staff

Requirements

  • Has experience working with young people with SEMH needs or young offenders
  • Is resilient, empathetic, and passionate about positive change
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (travel between sites in Plymouth and nearby areas is essential)

  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow teacher guidance
