About the role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
- Support pupils with their learning, communication, social and emotional development.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and the implementation of individual support plans.
- Help pupils develop independence and positive behaviour.
- Support pupils during lessons, break times and other school activities where required.
- Work effectively with teachers, SEND staff, parents/carers and external professionals.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Record and communicate relevant observations and progress.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds, or is working towards, a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
- Has a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Is patient, compassionate and resilient.
- Has good communication and teamwork skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils.
- Is reliable, adaptable and willing to learn.
- Has an understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
