Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants for full-time roles in the Maidstone area starting in September. We are seeking passionate and resilient individuals who are looking for their next opportunity within education and who are committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Help manage behaviour positively within the classroom
  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support
  • Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within an SEMH/behaviour setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • A Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people within education
